Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that serves results; this site does not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the details you choose to provide and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting services create standard logs such as IP address, browser type, page requests, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to operate and improve the service. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to run the service, diagnose issues, understand traffic totals, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or assemble individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process routine logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires it or applicable law permits it.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information this private service holds about you. Because the service keeps little, requests generally involve checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. The research verified no enacted New York general consumer-privacy or universal data-broker deletion law. New York’s SHIELD Act addresses reasonable data safeguards and breach notices, not deletion of government records. Government records are outside our control: FOIL, Public Officers Law article 6, §§84–90, governs agency-record access, while separate statutes protect vital files and confidential addresses. Direct a government-record request to its custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Updates will be posted here. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies.
